Just a quick review about this weblog/CMS tool, pMachine (http://www.pmachine.com).
This tool requires PHP/MySQL. It has great functionality (e.g., templates, member only pages, calendar, publish forward, multiple levels of access). There is also great support online; they don't ignore your questions. It is easy to customize and includes a descriptive manual and tags (functions) that can be dropped into pages and configured. The tool also allows you to use human readable URLs (instead of querystrings). The install is also very easy and web-ified.
The only weak point: the forum (newsgroup) capability. But that is on the list to be improved this year and (for me) it is a small problem. Their support forum also lists links to code to link up phpBB and pMachine user functions.
The only major problem I had with pMachine was thinking of a typical 'brochure' webpage as a weblog with one entry. pMachine can be a weblog (and is touted as a weblog) but it also creates and maintains pages just fine.
They also link to a great configurator tool that compares pMachine with numerous weblog tools. The tool seems mostly up to date:
Finally, I've evaluated lots of commercial and open source CMS since 1996. For me, pMachine is the best open source tool for a brochure site that includes a password accessed member site with a forum and the ability to publish content at some future date/time. If that describes your situation, I'd highly recommend including pMachine in your evaluations.
